From August 23 to 28, Gamescom, the world's largest event for computer and video games and Europe's No. 1 business platform for the games industry, will once again open its doors in Cologne. The event is complemented by a digital program and by the gamescom city festival throughout Cologne city center.
The first day of the fair is reserved for trade visitors and the media. On the second day gamescom will open its doors for everyone. Once again the gamescom award will be presented as part of the event, honoring the best new games presented at the fair. The award goes to the highlights in a total of 20 categories, which are assigned to the four groups "genre", "platform", "consumer award" and "global award". The winners will be announced at the gamescom Opening Night on August 23.
