The IHF Handball World Championship in Denmark and Germany starts on January 10th. Nine main round group matches will take place in the city of Cologne. Other venues are Copenhagen, Herning, Berlin, Hamburg und Munich.
The International Handball Federation (IHF) organizes the World Championship for the 26th time this year. The major international tournament kicks off in Berlin on January 10th, when Germany and Korea battle it out. On January 15th Germany comes up against title holder France.
The semifinals are played in Hamburg on January 25th and the final takes place in Herning/ Denmark on January 27th
